My biggest worry is that (since I'm not that knowledgeable) - I'll end up w/ something brand new that's worth less than what I started out with (even if it is used).Īnyone else here from south jersey - maybe you'll be familiar w/ the store and/or owner? He has hundreds of sealed/security stickered games left. I called the guy that I bought it from (who insists it's never left his possession and/or been resealed) and he volunteered to let me keep it for the $35 I paid for it (so, I'm thinking that even if it was used, I could probably recoup that amount), bring it back for a cash refund, or bring it back and make an even exchange for any of his other games that do have the security sticker on them (no more Tomba's, though). It looks (to me - no expert) like it's truly sealed as in the vent holes aren't sealed over, & it still has the original price-stickers on it (no hang tab, though).Īny way to find out for sure if that GQD reprinted it or not? I mean that it doesn't have the seams on 3 sides. GQD reprinted a few games a while back that did not have the security seals, but were truly sealed.I'm looking at it right now as I'm typing - and it's strange. Is the plastic wrap on the game triangle folded on the top / bottom, or is there a seem going around 3 of the edges? Unless it was a reprint via GameQuestDirect, Tomba should have it's seal. Thanks for taking the time to read this & helping the new guy out! Is this an error, because, I'm new, because the topics might be included in 'private' club threads, or what? I was able to link to about 1/2 of them.the other 1/2 said I don't have permission to access that page. Lastly, I was looking at an older "How to tell if it's been resealed" thread here that links to 5 or 6 related threads/topics. It seems very unlikely to me that it would be resealed, because I bought them all from the same b&m store, and he's been here 10+ years.

I tried looking at some sealed Tomba! games on-line, but there were very few & I couldn't see the white security sticker.but it didn't *appear* to have one.Īctually, if it's possible, can someone w/ a sealed copy post a pic. Now, every one of these games has that white security label on the top.except for Tomba!ĭoes this mean that it has *absolutely* been repacked - or is it possible to be factory-sealed & not have that security sticker? In the past week, I have bought sealed copies of: While I'm not all that new to collecting in general, I'm just getting into collecting/buying new & factory-sealed ps1 games.
